HomepageCity toursSchwabing and its bohemian world

Munich owes its reputation as an art city to the residents of the famous Munich quarter called Schwabing. The painters, sculptors, poets, models, musicians, architects, absconded daughters, revolutionaries and eternal students who lived here around 1900 all contributed to the incredible melange of creativity associated with Schwabing.

Let us transport you into the fascinating world of the Schwabing bohemians. On our walk we will show you where Kandinsky, Marc, Rilke, Thomas and Heinrich Mann, Lenin and Ringelnatz lived and worked, and paint a vivid picture of their lives in Schwabing.
