Pinakothek der Moderne: simply grandiose
Experience early modern art at its best (Beckmann, Marc, Klee, Magritte and Picasso) and discover with us the following generations of artists (Bacon, Baselitz, Beuys, Twombly and Warhol) at Munich’s “third” Pinakothek.
Opened in 2002, this museum is worth visiting just to see the architecture. Additional “must -sees”: at the Pinakothek der Moderne: the design collection as well as the interesting exhibitions shown by the Architekturmuseum and the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung (State Collection of Graphic Art).
Opening times: Tuesdays–Sundays, 10.00 am - 6.00 pm, Thursdays to 8.00 pm
