In the footsteps of the Blue Rider (Blaue Reiter)
Morning: Franz Marc Museum, Kochel
Afternoon: Schlossmuseum & Münter-Haus, Murnau
This tour focuses on the famous Blue Rider group: Marc, Kandinsky, Münter and Jawlensky, among others. In the morning we visit the Franz Marc Museum in Kochel. Afterwards we tour the beautiful little town of Murnau, where we enjoy lunch followed by a visit to the Schlossmuseum (an art museum in a castle) in the city centre and then Gabriele Münter’s delightful country house.

German Expressionism
Morning: Franz Marc Museum, Kochel
Afternoon: Buchheim Museum, Bernried
After viewing the works of the Blue Rider in the Franz Marc Museum in Kochel, we move on to the expressionists of the group called Die Brücke (The Bridge) in the Buchheim Collection (Kirchner, Schmidt-Rottluff, Nolde...) – an exciting contrast between two artist groups and museums. Between the two museum tours we will stop for lunch in Seeshaupt on Lake Starnberg.
